February is Turner Syndrome Awareness Month 📣

Every February, the Turner syndrome community comes together to educate, empower, and raise awareness for the 1 in 2,000 females worldwide born with TS, a genetic condition caused by the complete or partial loss of one X chromosome. 🧬

Those living with Turner syndrome are all unique! The most common indications of Turner syndrome include short stature and infertility, while other impacts can include heart defects, nonverbal learning disabilities, and more. Turner syndrome is also a leading cause of miscarriage, responsible for 10-15% of spontaneous pregnancy losses.

Awareness is needed to increase research, improve care options for patients, and decrease the average age of diagnosis.

Follow @turnersyndromefoundation to learn more about Turner syndrome, hear powerful stories, and find out how you can help bring awareness to this women’s health condition.
