Speech Pathology

Speech Pathology

For some children with TS, recurrent ear infections and the concomitant potential for hearing deficits, as well as a small mandibular bone (lower jaw bone) and high arched palate may result in the recommendation for speech therapy. Speech Language Pathologists will assist in determining the problem, the cause and the best treatment option with the goal to build communication skills by addressing articulation and fluency and resonance modulation. The strategies to improve receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language may involve working one-on-one, in small groups, or in the classroom.
