New Year’s Resolutions- let us help you stay on track

Every year, New Year’s Resolutions happen the same way. January first rolls around and we’re all ready for self-improvement: whether its eating healthier, working out, volunteering, traveling, or starting a new hobby, the new year seems like the perfect time to make a change. Yet, by the time February first hits, those resolutions seem like a silly idea we had that we would never actually follow through with. In fact, studies show that most people stop pursuing their resolution by February, and only 8% of people actually follow through with them by the end of the year.

Despite the gloom and doom talk about resolutions, we want this year to be the one in which we actually follow through with our goals. Try setting a reasonable goal that has a clear path to achievement, such as going to the gym twice a week or participating in a certain number of volunteer hours. This way, you can make small changes towards achieving your goal, and over time those steps will add up to a bigger result than you realize.

One of the most common resolutions has to do with health, such as eating better or working out more. You can join Team TSF at the New Jersey Marathon this April, in one of the many events they offer as a runner. Or FIND A RACE near you and raise awareness of Turner Syndrome (Ask us how).  This would be a perfect opportunity because it would require training up to the event, and upon completing the run you will feel totally accomplished.

Want to volunteer more? Host an event, bake sale, raise awareness? We are always looking looking for volunteers throughout the year, and working with us is highly rewarding because you can always see the outcomes of your effort.

Together, we hope that we can all achieve our resolutions to better ourselves and our community. Contact volunteer@tsfusa.org  | 732-847-3385
